I want to express

for the beautiful flowers delivered to us at

LEGACY HOSPICE

My Heartfelt Gratitude

I had the pleasure of bringing red roses to Joyce, a resident of Journeys Crossing Assisted Living Facility in Elkton. She was overjoyed and kept asking, "How did you know roses were my favorite?" It was a touching moment that truly brightened her day. When I returned to Journeys the next week, I was reminded about the lasting joy that flowers bring to others. Joyce insisted on keeping her bouquet with only one rose still blooming!

This flower delivery also created an uplifting atmosphere during weekly Bingo games coordinated by the facility. Thanks to the extra blooms, I was able to surprise Bingo winners with bouquets, and their smiles were absolutely priceless! It is amazing how flowers can transform a day so quickly.

Thank you for involving Legacy Hospice in this wonderful initiative; your generosity truly makes a difference in our community!

-Jennifer Sowers, Volunteer Coordinator at Legacy Hospice

"our adaptive classroom's enrichment experience has been a unique and rewarding journey.

Through social interactions and meaningful connections, they have learned the value of empathy, respect, and gratitude. It is heartwarming to witness their kindness and their ability to recognize and appreciate the efforts of those who support their learning and development. We thank you for this opportunity to arrange flowers and spread joy to our classroom and our school community! "

-Lauren Threewitts, East Rockingham High School

the residents faces

Lit up with excitement

This past summer, we brought a Bloom Bar to the memory care unit at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. As the bar, filled with fresh flowers, was set up nearby, the residents’ faces brightened.

“A quiet table of residents sitting around quickly changed as the flower bar rolled in and was positioned close to the table," shared Lisa Roeshley, a local business owner and kindergarten teacher who volunteered her time to help. "I was instantly filled with heartfelt joy watching 7-8 residents choose just the right flowers to arrange into their very own bouquet."

Among those participating was Dot Misner, a resident of VMRC, whose smile grew as she carefully selected blooms that resonated with her. The experience was as much about companionship as it was about creativity—a moment of calm, filled with joy and connection.
