Our main fundraiser, The Bloom Bar, offers a fun way to express creativity and spread joy with an interactive floral design experience that’s perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, and other special occasions. Whether you’re treating yourself, hosting a special event, or sharing joy with others, we have several Bloom Bar Options.

For those who love to design and be creative, our DIY Buckets are the perfect choice! Filled with freshly harvested blooms from our Harrisonburg flower farms, these buckets bring you a beautiful assortment of seasonal flowers and foliage—ideal for crafting your own unique arrangements.

DIY BUCKET:



✔️AVAILABILITY: Available during peak dahlia season, typically late June through mid-October.

✔️BUCKET CONTENTS: Each 2-gallon bucket includes approximately 50 stems of seasonal flowers and foliage, enough to create 4-6 mason jar-style arrangements (32 oz size).

✔️BUCKET DEPOSIT: A $15 per bucket deposit is required, refundable upon the return of a clean bucket.

✔️RESERVATIONS: Reserve the quantity you need, and we'll freshly pick blooms 1-2 days before your pick-up date.

✔️WEATHER NOTE: Availability may vary due to weather and crop conditions.

Want to add something unique to your next event? The Friendly City Floral’s Bloom Bar is the perfect activity for baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, or any special occasion. Participants are provided with fresh, locally sourced flowers allowing them to craft their own unique bouquets.

WHAT YOU’LL GET:

✔️Our stands come loaded with 6 or 12 buckets of flowers & everything you need for each guest to make bouquets of 10-12 stems each. 

✔️A variety of focal flowers, filler flowers, foliage and greenery. (based on season availability!) You keep every flower not used in the design!

✔️Bouquet Finishings such as paper cones and a color-coordinated sticker.

✔️Floral Tools Rentals: Flower buckets, flower bar and floral snips. (These will be returned)

✔️Signage: We provide a beautiful sign that says "The Bloom Bar" with "Friendly City Florals" at the bottom, complete with an easel to display it at your event. 

✔️Rental is typically for 4-6 hours.

✔️Delivery, setup, and breakdown are included within a 10 mile radius of the 22801 Harrisonburg, Va. Anything over 10 miles will incur additional gas/time costs.





✔️Drop Off & Pick-up
The cart will be delivered to your specified location 1 hour prior to your event start time & will be picked up promptly after your event ends.

✗ Packages do not include an on-site floral designer to help with bouquets.

While paper cones and a sticker closure are included in the Bloom Bar, we also offer additional items to be purchased.

This base package includes everything you need to create a beautiful display, ideal for events out of flower season or for those who already have their own blooms.

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

✔️Rental Duration: Typically available for 4–6 hours

✔️Cart Setup: Includes Bloom Bar cart with floral buckets, perfect for displaying blooms

✔️Delivery, Setup & Breakdown Options: Available within a 10-mile radius of Harrisonburg, VA (ZIP 22801) for an added fee. Additional charges for distances beyond 10 miles.


✔️Drop-Off & Pick-Up: Can be arranged up to an hour before and after your event, for an additional fee

✗ Packages do not include on-site floral design assistance; however, setup and breakdown guidance will be provided.

✗ Optional add-ons such as paper cones, stickers, snips, and twine are available to create a customized experience.






We have a variety of colors and types of flowers, but availability depends on seasonality & the date of your event. Feel free to put requests in your order form and we will do our best, but we cannot guarantee specific requests. 

If you would like to supply your own flowers or guarantee your specific requests, we have many suggestions for florists in the area and we’re happy to connect you with them!


Our flowers are at the mercy of mother nature, the more flexible you are, the better!

vitos mother's Day

At Vito’s, we’ve always been passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests, so when the opportunity to rent Friendly City Florals’ bloom bar came up, it was an easy choice! For Mother’s Day, we sourced hundreds of carnations to fill the bloom bar, and each mother who dined with us left with a beautiful flower to take home.

The next day, with the bloom bar still beautifully filled, we continued the celebration for JMU’s graduation by handing out carnations to every graduate who came in with their families.

Mothers beamed as they received their carnations, a small token of appreciation that made their day even more special. And it was heartwarming to see each student, still glowing with excitement from their graduation, receive a flower as a little celebratory gift from us.

Having Friendly City Florals’ bloom bar helped us connect with our guests in a unique way, adding a layer of kindness and celebration to two important occasions. Partnering with them allowed us to spread joy not only to our customers but to our entire community!

We would love to elevate your event

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking your Bloom Bar at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance to ensure availability for your desired date. This allows us to prepare and coordinate all necessary logistics for a seamless experience.


What types of flowers do you offer?

We provide a variety of seasonal blooms, including sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias, snapdragons, lisianthus and peonies during their peak seasons. Availability may vary, but we aim to offer a beautiful selection that reflects the best of each season.


Can I request specific flowers?

Yes, you can certainly request specific flowers! While we will do our best to accommodate your preferences, please keep in mind that availability depends on the season. We encourage you to discuss your favorite flowers with us during the booking process to see what can be included in your Bloom Bar experience.


What if I live outside the 10 mile radius of Harrisburg?

If your location is outside the 10-mile radius, we can still accommodate your request! However, additional travel fees will apply to cover gas and time costs. Please contact us for a quote based on your specific distance and event needs.

Is it possible to add an on-site florist to my package?

Currently, our rental packages do not include an on-site florist. However, we can provide you with recommendations for local florists who offer floral design services. If you're interested in hiring a florist, we can help connect you with someone who can assist with your event.

What happens if it rains on the day of my event?

We recommend having a backup plan for inclement weather. If your event is outdoors, we suggest arranging for a tent or alternative indoor location. The Bloom Bar setup can be adjusted based on your venue to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your rental, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made within a certain period before the event may incur a fee. Specific terms will be outlined in your rental agreement.

How many guests can participate in the Bloom Bar?

Our Bloom Bar can accommodate a variety of group sizes. If you have a large number of guests, consider using smaller vases or bud vases to help the flowers stretch further and allow everyone to create their own unique arrangements.
